What Is the Future of Football?

Five age groups. One test. National rankings. The Future of Football is Ireland's first performance testing competition for youth players aged 9–18 - bringing the kind of data-driven assessment used by professional academies to grassroots clubs across all four provinces. Every player is tested, ranked, and measured. The best compete for prizes, trophies, and an Academy trial.

What age groups can enter?

Five groups: A (9–10), B (11–12), C (13–14), D (15–16), E (17–18).

What do players need to bring?

Training kit, runners, and a water bottle. We provide everything else on the testing day.

How are results scored?

Each test is graded against age-group benchmarks. A composite score determines national ranking.

When will my child receive their results?

Within 5 working days of the event date, via a personalised PDF report sent to the registering email.

Is the event insured?

Yes. All test sessions are covered under GymLive's event insurance policy.

Can I get a refund?

Full refunds available up to 7 days before the event. After that, registration is non-refundable but transferable.
